It stopped working properly so I replaced it with a SSD (solid state drive) and now I have no startup or shutdown issues or slowness either. Then the anniversary issue came out, and we haven't been able to turn off a machine in weeks. pc shut down itself and wont turn on. I traced the problem down to a memory I had replaced my mobo and processor and it seem that it didn't like this 512 ddr that worked find on my old Shut down the PC again, and look for clumps of dust, especially around the fans, vents, and heat sinks.
